This is a legal agreement between You, the Purchaser, and the Licensor Altek Instruments Ltd ("Altek"). By completing a transaction on this website, you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.

In this Agreement the term Software shall mean any computer program, font or any other item containing or consisting of non tangible computer code being the intellectual property of the Licensor. The term Software shall further apply to any supporting documentation printed or published electronically or provided on computer media where the copyright of such documentation is not in the public domain. The Licensee shall mean the person or organisation utilising the Software after its installation on a computer system.

This Agreement is in addition to any License Terms and Conditions relating specifically to each Software product. Such License Terms and Conditions may be published for each Software product on this web site or provided in electronic or printed form with the Software. If these terms are not so published or provided (due to error or omission) Altek will provide them on application. If there is any difference or contradiction then the specific product License Terms and Conditions shall take precedence over this Agreement.

If the Purchaser and Licensee are different legal entities then the Purchaser must obtain the agreement of the Licensee to be bound by this Agreement and any additional License Terms and Conditions relating to the Software. The Purchaser shall notify Altek of the identity of the Licensee within 30 days of taking delivery of the Software.

All ownership and copyright of the Software remain the property of Altek. Altek grants to the Licensee a nonexclusive right to use the Software according to this Agreement and the License Terms and Conditions.

The Purchaser or Licensee may not modify, alter or reverse engineer the Software unless Altek has agreed in writing. Such agreement will generally be given if the Licensee has bona fide reasons for wanting modifications but any modified Software shall be subject to the same License Agreement as the original.

The Purchaser or Licensee may not lease, license or sub-license the Software or any modified version of it except as provided in this Agreement unless Altek has given permission in writing.

A single set of files comprising the Software may be installed for use on a Single Computer. The Software may be accessed by any number of Web Sites hosted on the Server provided the Web Sites are under the continuing control of The Licensee. The Software must be installed in a directory created for the exclusive use of scripts. Security measures conforming to current industry good practice shall be maintained such that the software source or associated files cannot be extracted, exposed or tampered with by unauthorised third parties.

A reasonable number of copies of the Software may be kept for archival or backup purposes. Such copies to be kept in a location accessible only by the Licensee or his authorised agents.

The Software may be used for any purpose in connection with the business or other lawful activities of the Licensee provided the Software is not used to provide an open public service which may compete with The Barcode Mill web site or other business activities of the Licensor and further provided the Software is not used in any way which may detract from the good reputation of the Licensor.

The copyrights in all of the images produced by the Software is hereby passed to The Licensee provided all the terms and conditions in this Agreement and the Software License Terms and Conditions are met.

The Software is provided "As is" without warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The Purchaser and Licensee agree to hold Altek harmless for any actionable consequence that may occur as a result of using the Software.

The user is responsible for determining the suitability of the Software. No refund will be made after purchase if the Software is found to be unsuitable unless the user can show the Software purchased is substantially different from any trial Software that may have been provided or the description published on this web site.

This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with English law. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable the Agreement will remain in effect with the provision omitted.
